Product Description
The TriLite MS2 is a 110 VAC strobe warning light built for industrial traffic control, signaling and safety work, indoors or outdoors. Two models cover the mounting choice: the MS2-110SP is permanent mount and the MS2-110SM is magnetic.
Output is 3 to 4 watts at 3.6 joules, firing 70 to 80 times a minute. The dome is a two-part build, a 360 degree clear Fresnel inner dome inside a rugged polycarbonate outer dome, which keeps it working in a spot where something will eventually hit it.
Six dome colors are available: amber, blue, clear, green, purple and red. Current draw stays under 0.04 amps at 115 VAC, and the unit measures 6.5 inches high by 5.5 inches across at a 2 pound shipping weight.
What is the TriLite MS2 AC strobe warning light?
The MS2 is a compact high-output strobe for industrial traffic control, safety and warning work on 110 volt AC power. It discharges a short, bright burst rather than holding a lamp on, which is what makes it register in a space that already has plenty of light. The inner Fresnel dome spreads that burst through 360 degrees and the polycarbonate outer dome takes the knocks. Current draw is low enough to add to an existing circuit.
Magnetic or permanent mount: which MS2 do you need?
The MS2-110SP is the permanent mount and suits a fixed warning point: a column at an aisle crossing, a doorway, a machine guard, a gate post. TriLite lists a 1/2 inch conduit connector, part 410403, for tidying the 115V run into it. The MS2-110SM is the magnetic version for a light that moves or covers a temporary setup, and the magnet is also sold separately as part 986100. Magnetic costs you an exposed cord and needs clean flat steel to hold.
Is the MS2 a 110V or a 115V strobe?
Both figures describe the same nominal supply. TriLite rates the MS2 at 110 VAC and quotes current draw at 115 VAC, and buyers search for it as a 110V, 115V and 120V strobe. Standard North American building power sits inside that band. If your circuit is ordinary mains, the MS2 fits. If the equipment runs on a 12 to 48 volt battery instead, the MS21 is the model you want.
What dome colors does the MS2 come in?
Six: amber, blue, clear, green, purple and red. Wider than most compact strobes carry, which helps when a site already runs a color scheme for zones, machine states or vehicle types. Amber remains the general warning default and clear gives the highest raw output. Color conventions vary by site and by jurisdiction, so check your own policy before you fix one across a facility.
MS2 or MS21: AC or DC?
Power source decides it. The MS2 runs on 110 VAC, so it belongs on building power at a fixed point. The MS21 is the auto-voltage DC model covering 12 to 48 volts, so it belongs on vehicles and battery equipment. The core specifications line up across both: 3 to 4 watts, 3.6 joules, 70 to 80 flashes a minute and the same six dome colors. Order by what you are wiring into, not by the output figures.
Strobe, flashing or rotating: what is the difference?
Three signal types doing three different jobs. A strobe fires a short, high-energy burst that reads as an interruption in the visual field. A flashing light turns a lamp on and off. A rotating beacon spins a reflector so the beam sweeps past the observer. In a busy plant under high-bay lighting, the strobe usually wins on attention. In an open yard, a sweeping beam can carry better at distance. The flashing units sit lowest on cost and maintenance.
Where does the MS2 fit in industrial traffic control?
TriLite recommends the MS2 for indoor or outdoor traffic control, safety and warning use. In practice that means aisle crossings, dock door approaches, gate entrances, automated equipment start-up, conveyor runs and plant access points where vehicle and foot traffic meet. Fix the height so the burst clears racking and parked equipment, and put it where the person is looking rather than where the cable run is easiest.

Customer Testimonials
Life-changing for my daughter with asthma. We installed these in her bedroom and playroom, and her nighttime coughing has decreased dramatically. The pediatrician even noticed improvement in her breathing. We now replace filters monthly religiously – it is the best $20/month we spend for her health.
– Jennifer M., Portland, OR (Mother of 8-year-old with asthma)
I cannot believe the difference in dust accumulation. We used to dust furniture near vents twice a week – now maybe once a month. And my seasonal allergies are noticeably better when I am at home. The filter replacement is super easy, takes 30 seconds. Wish I had found these years ago.
– Robert T., Atlanta, GA (Allergy sufferer)
We have two cats and my husband is allergic. These filters in the bedroom have been a marriage-saver! He can actually breathe at night now. We still have the cats (obviously), but the constant sneezing and congestion is gone. The filters definitely catch pet hair – you can see it when you replace them monthly.
– Sandra K., Chicago, IL (Pet owner)
As a property manager, tenants with allergies always complained about air quality. These covers have been perfect – affordable enough to install in multiple units, and the health benefit keeps tenants happy and renewing leases. I stock replacement filters and sell them at cost. Total game-changer for tenant satisfaction.
– Patricia L., Denver, CO (Property Manager, 40 units)
My son has severe dust mite allergies. His allergist recommended covering vents in his bedroom. These filter covers have made such a difference – his morning congestion is almost gone. The investment in monthly filters is nothing compared to what we used to spend on allergy medications.
– Michael S., Phoenix, AZ (Father of child with dust mite allergy)
