Product Description
The TriLite MV2IND is the industrial member of the MV2 rotating beacon range, and the reason to choose it over the base MV2 is voltage coverage. Nine models span 115 VAC plus 12V, 24V, 36V and 48V DC, in permanent and magnetic mounts.
All of them share the same build: a 25 watt incandescent bulb, an anodized aluminum base, 7.5 inches high by 6 inches across at a 3 pound shipping weight, and six dome colors.
The drive differs by power source. DC models use a belt-driven reflector and run 90 to 100 flashes per minute. The 115 VAC model uses a direct drive and runs at 75.
What is the TriLite MV2IND rotating beacon?
The MV2IND is a compact rotating reflector beacon for industrial signaling, safety and warning work, indoors or out. TriLite builds it on an anodized aluminum base with a 25 watt incandescent bulb behind a turning reflector. The industrial part of the name is about range rather than ruggedness: this is the family that covers every common plant voltage on one body, so a site running mixed equipment can standardize on one beacon and one set of spares.
Which MV2IND voltage do you need: 115 VAC, 12V, 24V, 36V or 48V?
Match the model to the supply you are connecting. Fixed points wired to building power take the 115 VAC MV2IND-110P. Vehicles and battery equipment take the DC model matching the battery plate: 12V for service trucks and smaller lift trucks, 24V, 36V or 48V for larger forklifts and tugs. One practical difference comes with the choice. The DC models turn at 90 to 100 flashes per minute on a belt drive, while the 115 VAC model uses a direct drive at 75.
Permanent or magnetic mount: which MV2IND do you need?
Every DC voltage comes both ways, so the mount is a free choice. Permanent models fix in place and wire into the supply, which suits a beacon that stays with one machine or one structure, and TriLite lists a conduit connector, part 410403, for tidying the run on 115V installations. Magnetic models hold on flat steel and move between machines in seconds. Note that the 115 VAC model is permanent mount only.
What dome colors does the MV2IND come in?
Six: amber, blue, clear, green, purple and red. On a site running several machine types, that range is enough to code by department, vehicle class or machine state without two things reading the same. Amber stays the general warning default and clear gives the highest raw output. Color conventions vary by site and by jurisdiction, so set your own policy before standardizing.
Where is the MV2IND used?
Two jobs, mainly. On equipment, it warns people that a machine is moving: forklifts, tugs, yard trucks, service vehicles and mobile handling gear. On a machine or a wall, it reports status, which is where the 115 VAC model earns its place on cells, conveyors, presses and automated equipment that needs a visible state from across a bay. Outdoor use is rated either way.
MV2IND or MV2: which family do you need?
Voltage separates them. The base MV2 family is 12 volts DC only, in permanent and magnetic mounts, and it is the economical choice when everything you are fitting runs on 12 volts. MV2IND is the broader industrial family covering 12V through 48V DC plus 115 VAC. Body, bulb, base and dome colors are shared, so this is not a question of quality. It is a question of how many voltages you need to cover from one order.
Can you upgrade an MV2IND to an LED bulb?
On some models. TriLite documents the Mars 426012 LED replacement bulb for the MV2IND-110P, and the Mars 426013 for the MV2IND-12P, 24P, 12M and 24M. The 36 volt and 48 volt models are not covered by that documentation, so do not assume a bulb drops in. An LED swap cuts current draw and stretches the replacement interval, which is usually what prompts the question on a fleet.

Customer Testimonials
Life-changing for my daughter with asthma. We installed these in her bedroom and playroom, and her nighttime coughing has decreased dramatically. The pediatrician even noticed improvement in her breathing. We now replace filters monthly religiously – it is the best $20/month we spend for her health.
– Jennifer M., Portland, OR (Mother of 8-year-old with asthma)
I cannot believe the difference in dust accumulation. We used to dust furniture near vents twice a week – now maybe once a month. And my seasonal allergies are noticeably better when I am at home. The filter replacement is super easy, takes 30 seconds. Wish I had found these years ago.
– Robert T., Atlanta, GA (Allergy sufferer)
We have two cats and my husband is allergic. These filters in the bedroom have been a marriage-saver! He can actually breathe at night now. We still have the cats (obviously), but the constant sneezing and congestion is gone. The filters definitely catch pet hair – you can see it when you replace them monthly.
– Sandra K., Chicago, IL (Pet owner)
As a property manager, tenants with allergies always complained about air quality. These covers have been perfect – affordable enough to install in multiple units, and the health benefit keeps tenants happy and renewing leases. I stock replacement filters and sell them at cost. Total game-changer for tenant satisfaction.
– Patricia L., Denver, CO (Property Manager, 40 units)
My son has severe dust mite allergies. His allergist recommended covering vents in his bedroom. These filter covers have made such a difference – his morning congestion is almost gone. The investment in monthly filters is nothing compared to what we used to spend on allergy medications.
– Michael S., Phoenix, AZ (Father of child with dust mite allergy)
