Product Description

The TriLite RF6L1 is the LED member of the RF6 rotating beacon family: a full-size, heavy-duty warning beacon that runs on AC power and mounts permanently. Six high-powered LEDs behind a rotating assembly give 850 lumens at 70 to 80 flashes per minute.
Supply Owl's source descriptions call it 110 Volt. TriLite's own model number is RF6L1-120P and its literature describes 120 VAC operation. Both point at standard North American mains, and the beacon you receive is the same either way.
Dome colors in this assortment are amber, blue, clear, purple, green and red. The unit is UL and cUL listed, built on an anodized aluminum base behind a shatter-resistant polycarbonate dome, and ships at under 5 pounds.

What is the TriLite RF6L1 LED AC rotating beacon?

The RF6L1 is a full-sized rotating warning beacon with an LED module in place of a lamp. Six high-powered LEDs produce 850 lumens, and TriLite rates the module at roughly 50,000 hours. For a beacon running long shifts, that is the number that matters. The anodized aluminum base and shatter-resistant polycarbonate dome are built for industrial duty, and the whole unit draws under 250 mA at 120 VAC.

Is the RF6L1 a 110V or a 120V beacon?

Both, in the sense that both describe the same supply. The Supply Owl product description says 110 Volt and the TriLite model number is RF6L1-120P, with manufacturer literature describing 120 VAC operation. North American building power runs in that band, so an ordinary mains circuit suits the beacon either way. The number in the part code is 120, so quote RF6L1-120P when you order, whichever figure your own paperwork uses.

What mount, voltage and color options are available?

Mount is permanent across the family, so the beacon fixes in place and wires into the AC supply. Voltage is the single 110/120 VAC option. Color is where the choice sits: amber, blue, clear, purple, green and red, each with its own SKU under the RF6L1-120P code. One point worth checking before you publish: purple is in the Supply Owl workbook but not on TriLite's current color list.

What are the RF6L1's key features?

Six high-powered LEDs at 850 lumens, rated around 50,000 hours. Flash rate of 70 to 80 per minute. Current draw under 250 mA at 120 VAC. UL and cUL listed. A shatter-resistant polycarbonate dome over an anodized aluminum base. Ship weight under 5 pounds. Those last two matter on an outdoor mounting, where a glass dome and a heavy body both become problems over time.

Where is the RF6L1 used?

TriLite designs it for indoor and outdoor signaling, process control, warning and safety applications. In practice that covers machine status on production equipment, process alerts in plants, warehouse and facility signaling, and any fixed point where people need to see a state change from across a bay. At 850 lumens it carries across a bay in a way a compact beacon does not. Correct upright installation is what keeps water out, so follow the installation instructions on anything mounted outside.

RF6L1 LED or RF6 incandescent: which should you buy?

The RF6L1 is LED and AC. The RF6 is the incandescent DC family with twin sealed PAR36 bulbs. LED buys you a module rated near 50,000 hours instead of a lamp you replace on a schedule, plus a much lower current draw. The RF6 stays the answer where the supply is DC. If you are on mains power and tired of lamp changes, the RF6L1 is the straightforward upgrade.

Is the RF6L1 UL listed and suitable for outdoor use?

TriLite states that the RF6L1 is UL and cUL listed, and describes it for indoor or outdoor signaling. The installation instructions add an important condition: water resistance depends on the beacon being installed upright and correctly. Mount it any other way and that protection no longer applies, so treat the orientation as part of the specification rather than a suggestion.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the TriLite RF6L1 an LED rotating beacon?

A: Yes. The RF6L1 uses an LED module with six high-powered LEDs driving a rotating reflector assembly, rather than an incandescent or halogen lamp.

What voltage does the RF6L1 use?

A: The current manufacturer model is RF6L1-120P. Supply Owl's source descriptions use 110 Volt terminology while TriLite literature references 120 VAC operation. Both describe standard North American mains power.

How bright is the RF6L1 and how long does the LED last?

A: TriLite rates the RF6L1 at 850 lumens, with the LED module rated at approximately 50,000 hours.

What dome colors are available?

A: TriLite currently lists amber, blue, clear, green and red. The Supply Owl workbook also carries a purple variant, so verify current availability of purple before treating it as manufacturer-confirmed.

Is the RF6L1 UL listed and can it be used outdoors?

A: TriLite states that the RF6L1 is UL and cUL listed and describes it for indoor or outdoor signaling. Installation instructions specify that water resistance depends on correct upright installation.

Customer Testimonials

Life-changing for my daughter with asthma. We installed these in her bedroom and playroom, and her nighttime coughing has decreased dramatically. The pediatrician even noticed improvement in her breathing. We now replace filters monthly religiously – it is the best $20/month we spend for her health.

– Jennifer M., Portland, OR (Mother of 8-year-old with asthma)

I cannot believe the difference in dust accumulation. We used to dust furniture near vents twice a week – now maybe once a month. And my seasonal allergies are noticeably better when I am at home. The filter replacement is super easy, takes 30 seconds. Wish I had found these years ago.

– Robert T., Atlanta, GA (Allergy sufferer)

We have two cats and my husband is allergic. These filters in the bedroom have been a marriage-saver! He can actually breathe at night now. We still have the cats (obviously), but the constant sneezing and congestion is gone. The filters definitely catch pet hair – you can see it when you replace them monthly.

– Sandra K., Chicago, IL (Pet owner)

As a property manager, tenants with allergies always complained about air quality. These covers have been perfect – affordable enough to install in multiple units, and the health benefit keeps tenants happy and renewing leases. I stock replacement filters and sell them at cost. Total game-changer for tenant satisfaction.

– Patricia L., Denver, CO (Property Manager, 40 units)

My son has severe dust mite allergies. His allergist recommended covering vents in his bedroom. These filter covers have made such a difference – his morning congestion is almost gone. The investment in monthly filters is nothing compared to what we used to spend on allergy medications.

– Michael S., Phoenix, AZ (Father of child with dust mite allergy)
